Duration of the
Match:
-Standard game of soccer consists of two-halves 45 minuites each
-Halves are separated by a 5 minuite break
-During the match, if there is not a winner, the teams play for an additional 25 minuites
-If there is not a winner, the game leads to penalty kicks
-Penalties usually only take place if it is during the knock-out round in a tournament
Fouls:
-Kicking-Tripping
-Pushing with hands
-Charging in or at a player
-Slide tackling the oponents legs
-Foul language
Before
1815, the Romans played soccer with no rules or laws. The game was very
dangerous and caused a lot of injuries among players. The game became
so violent that it was banned by King Edward. In 1815 the first set of
rules were made and they continued to play a safer version of the game.
